This is a picture of what my NYC block looked like in 1609. Cool huh? I got it from the Mannahatta Project. Check it out: www.themannahattaproject.org.On my block in 1609, the mammal neighbors were meadow voles, white-footed mouse, deer mouse, beavers, southern flying squirrels, eastern gray squirrels, masked shrew, eastern cottontails, eastern chipmunks, raccoons, muskrats, among many other animals.
Today, we got yer ratz, ratz, masked shrews and ratz.
