I got a huge belly laugh from this story in today's New York Times:
South Korean Scientist Tried To Clone Mammoth. (Reuters) Dr. Hwang Woo-suk, the fallen stem-cell scientist, said at his trial on charges he embezzled public and private research funds, that he spent some of the money trying to clone a mammoth. "We secured mammoth tissues from glaciers and tried cloning three times, but failed," he said.
